The race to Mt. Everest or ABS-CBN versus GMA-7
I just read the news story about the two Pinoy groups vying to be the first Filipino to reach the world's highest peak, Mt. Everest, in Nepal. On one hand we have Mr, Romy Garduce (sponsored by GMA-7) and the First Philippine Mt. Everest Expedition Team (sponsored by ABS-CBN). While this will surely be a cause for celebration and pride for the Philippines, what we are witnessing right now is a major war between the two biggest TV network in the country. It is actually ABS-CBN vs GMA 7 battle for the coverage. Again we are showing to the world how DISUNITED this country has become. We don't really need others as enemies we are our worst enemy. Of course the networks will deny this fact. I hope this historical event will not become another showcase of Pinoy crab mentality. Kapuso (sweetheart) or kapamilya (family) who cares?
As it is, let us hope this will not turn into another comedy spectacle or worst another case of WOW WOWEE.
Let's BOYCOTT these TV STATIONS!
